FFP3 dust mask (valved)
FFP3 disposable mask for silica dust from breaking and cutting.
Delivered with your machine and handed over at delivery. No separate delivery charge.
Order with your hire. Stock checked at booking.
Safety: FFP3 masks only protect properly if they are face-fit tested and worn clean-shaven.
What it's for
Breathing protection when breaking concrete, brick, stone or paving.
Why we recommend it
Breaking creates silica dust, which can cause serious lung disease. The breaker manual calls for respiratory protection, and the KM55 has no water spray, so use a mask and keep the dust damp.
How much you'll need
One per person per day of breaking.
How to use it
- Shave first: stubble breaks the seal.
- Fit the mask, press the nose clip and check for leaks.
- Change it when breathing gets hard or the mask is damaged or wet.

Questions
What's a face-fit test?
A test that checks the mask seals on your face. Employers must arrange one for workers who use FFP3. Without a good seal the mask won't protect you.
Is a dust mask enough on its own?
Keep the dust damp too, for example with a water spray. A mask is the last line of protection, not the first.
Which mask is it?
JSP M632. If your face-fit test was done on a different model, tell us. A fit test only covers the model you were tested on.
