Tight access around Cannock
Terraces in Chadsmoor and older parts of Hednesford often have a shared passage under 1 metre wide. The K008-5 is built for that: 75 cm wide with its tracks drawn in.
The KM55 breaker fits it, so one booking can lift an old concrete yard and dig out the new base. Load the rubble into the Thwaites high-tip dumper and tip it straight into a skip.
A skip on the road needs a Staffordshire County Council permit, which the skip firm applies for: £42, plus £28 for short notice.
Before the K008-5 arrives
- Measure gates, passages and downpipes: 75 cm clear is needed.
- Book the KM55 breaker if there is concrete to come up.
- Agree where the skip goes and who holds the permit.
- Check the mining risk map before any new footings.
