A visual-only check before you start work
The KM55 is an attachment operated from the excavator cab using the machine's auxiliary hydraulics. It must only be used fitted to a suitable carrier (0.7-1.1 tonne excavator) by a trained excavator operator.
This is a visual-only check before you start. It is not a mechanical inspection. Do NOT dismantle anything or adjust settings.
🔍1. Walk-Around Check
- Tool and retaining/lock pins present and secure, with no cracks.
- Hoses and couplings with no leaks or chafing.
- Breaker body and adapter secure to the boom.
- Grease visible on the tool shank.
👀2. In-Use Awareness
- Normal, steady impact sound.
- No sudden drop in performance.
- No hydraulic leaks appearing.
🔒 If anything looks, sounds or feels wrong: STOP WORK & INFORM US.
More Information
The tool gets very hot in use - never touch it. Relieve the hydraulic pressure and stop the excavator engine before any tool change.
