🚜 Mini Digger Hire — Kubota U17-5
Kubota U17-5 Daily Operator Awareness Guide
A simple, visual-only check before you start work.
For your safety and to prevent breakdowns, the operator must perform a quick visual awareness check before each day’s use on a multi-day hire.
This takes less than a minute. It is not a mechanical inspection.
Important – Read First
👀1. Walk-Around Check
- Leaks: Look for any obvious fluid leaks on the ground under the machine.
- Damage: Check for any new or obvious damage to the machine or attachments.
- Stance: Ensure the machine is sitting level and appears normal.
- Security: Verify that all guards and covers appear secure.
🚦2. Start-Up Check
- Warning Lights: When you turn the key, watch the dashboard for any warning lights that stay on or flash.
- Unusual Noises: Listen for any strange noises from the engine or hydraulics upon start-up.
⚙️3. In-Operation Awareness
- Vibrations or Smells: Be alert for any unusual vibrations or burning smells.
- Power Loss: Notice any unexpected loss of power or poor response.
- Control Feel: Pay attention if the controls do not feel or respond normally.
🔒 If anything looks, sounds, or feels wrong: STOP WORK IMMEDIATELY & INFORM US. Continuing to operate a machine with a suspected fault is not permitted.
